About Darrin T. Mish

I'm a tax attorney serving Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, Lakewood Ranch, and all of Southwest Florida. I've been fighting the IRS since 1998 — 32 years of representing taxpayers who owe money they can't pay, haven't filed returns in years, or are facing levies, liens, and garnishments they don't know how to stop.

Before tax resolution, I was a public defender. That experience taught me to outwork the other side with limited resources, build a case from the ground up, and use an opponent's aggression against them. Those instincts translate directly to IRS work.

How I Work

Every case starts with a free consultation. I pull your IRS transcripts, assess the situation, and give you a straight answer about your options. No pressure, no scare tactics, no "sign today" nonsense. If your situation doesn't need a lawyer, I'll tell you.

Once you retain me, I file a Power of Attorney with the IRS immediately. From that point, the IRS talks to me. You stop getting the calls, the letters, and the knots in your stomach. I handle everything.

Outside the Office

I live on a cattle farm outside Tampa with my wife Heather, who competes in ranch riding. I collect vintage air-cooled Volkswagens. I host a podcast about IRS tax resolution. I mention this because the IRS is stressful enough without dealing with a robot in a suit.
